REIKI LEVEL 1 Group Training: 1/26/13

December 13, 2012

Learn to do it yourself!

This class will introduce you to Reiki, a safe and non-invasive hands-on healing technique. Come and discover an intrinsic, universal source of connection! Release yourself from unwanted and unnecessary stress.

The Reiki process is a simple method of hands-on healing as developed by Dr. Mikao Usui, from Kyoto, Japan. Reiki helps to reestablish balance and harmony on the physical, emotional, and spiritual planes to restore natural function. Reiki will allow you to deepen your connection to your inner self, the people in your life, the world at large and spiritual experiences. The beauty of Reiki is that it comes to us as we need it, and to our own capacity to hold it. As students develop their Reiki practice, they enlarge their capacity to tap into unconditional love, compassion, wisdom, intuition and meditation.

In this class students will become attuned to Reiki and be empowered to use hands-on Reiki for personal use. Some of the topics we will cover will be:  What is Reiki? Reiki History and a discussion of important historical figures. Reiki meditation and simple cleansing practices. Western Reiki Procedures and hand positions.  Group Reiki and Reiki circles.

This class will take place on 1/26/2013, 5-8pm at Third Root Community Health Center, 380 Marlborough Road, Brooklyn, NY 11226;  Third Root is accessible via the Q train off the Cortelyou Road stop, and buses BM1, 2, 3, 4; B23; and the B103.

There is no required reading for this class and materials will be provided in class, but if you would like to do some reading in advance, I recommend these sources:
